The Legal Advisory Committee consults the German Biogas Association and supports the Executive Board and headquarters in negotiations with ministries and other associations. In addition, the committee debates legal problems associated with energy industry law, the Renewable Energy Act, gas feed-in, energy contract law (gas, heat, electricity, grid access, etc.), approval law, substrate supply and guarantee law.
The most significant financial institutions in the area of biogas work together with the Financing Advisory Committee of the German Biogas Association. The committee discusses framework conditions and options for the financing of new projects. In recent years, however, the work has increasingly focused on problems arising from the financing of existing plants. In addition to consultations regarding the association’s work, the committee also provides statements in consideration of legal changes, primarily in the area of the Renewable Energy Act.
The Company Advisory Committee represents the interests of the biogas plant builders and planners. Its task is to consult the Executive Board. The company Advisory Board consists of nine members elected from the registered members of the association. Five members must be builders, two members must be component manufacturers, and two members must be planners or consultants to biogas plants.
